The Pittsburgh Penguins have officially fired their head coach, Mike Johnston after a very disappointing start to another high expectation filled season. The Pittsburgh Penguins sit out the playoff picture at the moment behind the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, and the New Jersey Devils. The penguins ranked 26th in goals per game under Johnston. General Manager Jim Rutherford made it clear that this team has under achieved this season and a change of scenery was needed.
